Just a Random Blog

I’m writing this blog because I haven’t written one in awhile. I am currently working on two books, a fiction and a nonfiction, so that is what I’m mostly working on. The demands of my job also play a role in me not writing more blogs, unless I decide to turn my blog site into how I really feel about my job, which I’m not going to do.

The nonfiction book is really the main reason why I’m not being more consistent in my blog writing. The book is Christian-inspired, and my blog page is mostly Christian-inspired. That means if I’m focus too much on my blog writing, it might take away some of the potential writing material I could use for my book. I might sound like I’m making excuses, but that is the way I feel.

The way I feel could be the cause of me not doing more. Here lately, I’ve been having a problem with maintaining my energy level throughout the day, and I drink coffee every day. I might not be getting enough sleep. It could possibly be my testosterone level, I don’t know. I have, however, ordered a natural supplement to hopefully take care of this issue — then maybe I will be more consistent in everything I do.

I did have enough energy to work out today, although I could have done more, like work on one of my books. Maybe I shouldn’t be so hard on myself, but I want to be successful in everything I do. One of my favorite celebrities is Jennifer Lopez. She is talented in so many things and she is extremely attractive. I often fantasize about her. But what I really love about her is her work ethic. She is one of the few celebrities that I feel truly deserves the amount of success she has. I’ve followed her career since the early 1990s and she has always worked on improving her brand. I hope to have even a fraction of her success. And I could; all I have to do is work just as hard as she does. Unfortunately, my work ethic is not there yet.

Hopefully, this blog is the start. I wasn’t going to write a blog today, but what is the point of having a blog page if I’m not going to blog consistently. Instead of thinking about what to write, I just decided to write. Can I write another blog before the week is over with? Only time will tell.

My Letter to the Firestarter

Photo by Rodrigo Santos from Pexels

My friend,

I’m writing you this letter in an attempt to save your life. It brings me great sorrow to see you self-destruct like this. I think you are a talented, creative young lady. I like the fact that you’re spiritual, even though I wish you would change your focus towards something more positive. And, you’re one of the most beautiful women I think I’ve ever seen. I call you “Firestarter” because you remind me of the girl in the movie with the same name that destroyed the bad guys with pyro-kinetics after they killed her father.

I am not focused on your beauty, however, since there is a lot of beautiful women in the world. What I am focused on is the destruction of your soul. Unlike some of the people that sell a bunch of wolf-tickets, I know you are the real deal. You are a revolutionary fighting for a good cause, but I think your tactics are ruthless and suicidal.

Since I’ve known you, I have seen you create so many enemies, maybe too many for you to overcome. As with all of us, you don’t have as many allies as you think you do. How long do you think you can spit in your enemies’ faces without some type of repercussions? How long can you take the force of the baton, the smell of the tear gas, and the pain from the bullets before it becomes too much for you to bear? How long do you think you will last using your current tactics? Do you think you are invincible? Do you think your cards will protect you?

Your situation seems insurmountable, but I believe there is still hope for you. I don’t want to see you die. There is another way to fight this battle. You have to be smarter about your tactics and your strategy. You desire to destroy this “oppressive democracy.” My question to you is “what will you replace it with?” Communism? A hundred years of history will show you that type of government will not work. Maybe a kingship or a dictatorship? Most of the time, the good rulers get killed and the bad ones ends up causing untold misery and destruction to their citizens. On top of this, your strategy doesn’t have enough traction among the masses for it to work. Read Machiavelli’s “The Prince” to get a full understanding of what I am talking about.

And I get it. Deep down, you’re hurting. You have been victimized. You have seen others victimized. You want to exact your revenge on those who hurt you and the ones that resembles them or represents them. I know it feels good to hurt those that hurt you, but eventually your anger will consume you and eventually, it will destroy you.

So, I’m begging you to find another way. I know you are a reader and a writer. You have spiritual knowledge. You’re still a healthy, young lady. Please, don’t continue on your current path of destruction. Look for a new strategy based on logic, love, “real” results, and justice. Then hopefully, you will live a long, successful life.

The Power of the Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

–John 1:1 KJV

Our words are omnipotent. God used his words to speak things in existence with magnificence. The use of our words can either create or destroy. If you don’t believe it, just perceive our current political climate in the U.S. Words are currently being addressed to ridicule with the intent to dismiss opposing arguments.

We should be using and infusing our words to incite good. Would it be right to say, “I like and adore what you’re wearing?” Or, instead of using our words to exalt, do you think it would be better to degrade and insult? You see, whether you like or sulk at what they’re wearing, our result should always be to say something that is caring, or not say anything at all.

With that being said, we should avoid saying anything negative, even to ourselves. The negative words will ring around in our cerebral mist, even if we try to deny this. We should also never attempt to tear someone else down using our words. It’s absurd to think that they wouldn’t have a devastating impact on another person. While we’re salivating at the other person’s pain to make ourselves feel better, our mistake might cause them to relate more with hate, either toward others or to themselves. This would only add to the bedlam already is undeniably present in our society.

I believe we should all use our words to uplift ourselves and others. We should use them to give bliss to our mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. We should also use them to find favor with our neighbors. And, when we’re feeling spent and not so confident, we should be intelligent by saying, “I can do this.” “I will not get stuck in the abyss” is another way you can say this with intent. It’s not a façade, if the world was created by the Word of God, we can use our speaking breath to give love and life, not death.

Prosperous Works

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

–Philippians 4:19 KJV

Things have not looked so good for the moment. In 2020, we have dealt with COVID-19, an abuse of authority by law enforcement, mass unemployment, and escalating hate from white supremacist. It makes you wonder how we will get through all of this.

I believe we can do this by continuing to do good and by remembering the Word of God. We do good by caring for others and by finding new ways to provide for our loved ones. It says in Psalm 128:2, “For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.” Our country has continuously dealt with economic hardships throughout history. The thing that has uplifted us eventually is our hustling mentality. By hustling, I don’t mean sinning — I mean working according to the Word God provided in the beginning.

If you’re poised to pursue prosperity, please patiently perceive the prose presented in Proverbs 22:4. It says, “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.” We should remember this when we persist through financial strife. I believe the practice of meditating on the Word and the initiation of a positive work ethic and attitude will eventually increase our financial aptitude.

Defeated (Poem)

What did I do wrong

for my plan to fall apart?

I feel so cheated!

Was my idea flawed?

Did I truly think it through,

Maybe rushing it?

Is the world to blame,

Lacking the understanding

Of my written word?

The Man had a hand

possibly in stopping me

in my quest to win.

Then again, I shouldn’t make excuses

because I know I will get through this.

The Problem with Winning

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.

Romans 12:16 ESV

Why do some people show support for something that is wrong or immoral? Why do some either ignore or turn their heads when something bad is happening in front of them? Why don’t they care about the injustices that are being committed or the killing of innocent people?

I believe they choose to do this to feel good about themselves. They do this to identify with something that in their eyes is synonymous with strength and power. They support leaders they believe share their deep-rooted bigoted beliefs and say to themselves “you know what; it’s okay to be this way.” They want to belong to a group to feed into their “us versus them” mentality. They do it because it makes them feel like winners.

But, there is a huge and destructive flaw with this type of thinking. Right now, some of those people are suffering because of their flawed logic. The first problem was they misunderstood what real strength was. Real strength is speaking out when something is wrong. Real strength is admitting when you are wrong. Real strength doesn’t mean disrespecting people behind the protection of bodyguards and the police. Real strength is telling someone how you feel to their face.

Instead, some of those misguided people thought strength was telling lies, saying disrespectful things about people, and making threats. They thought strength was sabotaging a person behind their back instead of talking to them about an issue to their face. They believed strength was getting the upper hand over another group of people that had different beliefs than they do, even though some of those people were afraid to travel five miles away from their homes.

The second problem was their concept of winning at all cost. In the game of football, that’s the goal of the two teams playing each other – to beat the other team. When someone plays a video game, the goal is to win and beat that game. This concept does not apply, however, when dealing with other people. It does not apply when someone tries to get over on the people they live with or the people in their neighborhood. When they try to win against a group of people in this aspect, it means that the other group lost even though they might have been unaware of the game being played.

Unfortunately, even when they feel like they got the upper hand on someone, they still lose. Once someone finds out that they’re against them and tried to ruin them in underhanded ways, in time they will suffer for it. Because of these “games,” the “victor” will soon realize that life will become harder for them. The neighbor they use to be friendly with no longer likes them and are either scheming against them or ignoring them every chance they get. That coworker that they tried to get in trouble for no reason will fail to be there for them when you need help. The boss that delights in screwing with his employees will eventually struggle to keep his position because of a lack of manpower and efficiency in the workplace. And, a group of people that votes for a corrupt politician because that person supposedly share their values and are against people they dislike will soon realize that they will too suffer because of the politician’s evil ways.

In life there are no true winners. There is only successful and unsuccessful people. Some people can have a lack of money and feel like a success, and people that are rich could still feel like failures. It all depends on a person’s mindset. Any decisions that we make in life should be made without the intent of hurting or getting over on other people. Like it says in Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” You do this by showing love, compassion, and empathy for the ones around you.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10 NIV

I want to apologize to the ones that originally followed this blog site. I created it to inspire and to hopefully improve someone’s life. Instead, my blogs have been all over the place. They have been unfocused and unorganized, possibly causing confusion among some of you.

In some of my latest blog, I wrote poetry. I don’t see anything wrong with doing this, but the problem with my poetry was that some of it didn’t follow the theme of this blogsite. In one of my poems, I wrote about how I felt about some people in authority, which came off as judgmental and a little hateful. Another poem I wrote was very sexual, once again going against the theme of this site.

I also started placing excerpts from my book “Pleasurable Consequences” on this page, which was a book that has numerous references to sex in it. I’m all for promoting my work, but that book did nothing to promote my website and its purpose.

Now I want to get back to why I started this blog page to begin with; to write inspiring messages using the Word of God. Does it mean that I will stop writing poetry? Of course not. It does mean, however, that any poetry I write for now on will either be love-inspired or God-inspired.

I will also continue to place excerpts from future books on this site, but those books will not be about sex or any other sin. The two books I am working on are both Christian-inspired. That means in the future, I will get to promote my work plus promote the Word of God.

I hope my old and new followers understand the decision I made starting today. I just hope that you will continue following this page and continue supporting me. I hope each and every one of you have a blessed Memorial Day. Please don’t forget about the ones that lost their lives defending this country. Thank you.

My Only Pleasure (Sonnet)

Picture taken by Ana Maria Moroz from Pexel

How much I desire your tender touch

Connecting our bodies to feel your skin

Baby, you can tell I love it so much

I ache to explore your pleasure within

How nice it is when you’re on top of me

Grinding and grinning while I grab your hips

To be under you is a sight to see

Especially when I kiss on your lips

Let’s switch position, let me get on top

I want to poise myself to make you scream

We’re getting heated now, don’t make me stop

Til my love is released, how quick it seem

Men desire to be pleasured by you

But you are my girl and I love you too

The Mirror Reveal (Villanelle)

As you glance at your reflection, what does the mirror reveal?

Do you see a brave man, or do you see a punk?

Your only obligation to society is to keep it real!

If you ain’t about that life, don’t be talking no junk.

It’s easy to be brave when you have authority.

As you glance at your reflection, what does the mirror reveal?

When the book has been written and they tell your story,

will you be known as great or will you be lacking in glory?

Your only obligation to society is to keep it real!

Is it revenge for all them times you were bullied as a child?

Now you’re getting justice for esteem they tried to kill.

As you glance at your reflection, what does the mirror reveal?

Why do you live this façade, why don’t you empathize?

Does it feel good to be unfair, don’t you think that’s odd?

Your only obligation to society is to keep it real!

The life that you’re living is only a mirage.

Fake love from fake friends is the only thing that is giving.

As you glance at your reflection, what does the mirror reveal?

Your only obligation to society is to keep it real!
