Create Your Reality

Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods?’

John 10:34

The above scripture was a comment Jesus Christ made to the Jews that wanted to stone him for blasphemy. He was letting them know that he and his father, God, was of one accord. The Jews thought he saying that he WAS God. He was saying that he was LIKE God, that he and his father are one (united).

What does he really mean? If you read the scripture as is, he is saying that we are gods! The little ‘g’ in the word ‘god’ is there to let you as the reader know that you are not God, capital ‘G.’ But, you are like God. That means you have the power to create. You have the ability to build home, recreate your surroundings, and create the reality that you want.

Writers have the ability to create imagery worlds. Artist and sculptors have the power to create and recreate images of things in Reality. Remember this when you feel like things are not going your way. If you don’t like the life you’re currently living, you have the ability to change it!

Jesus’ proclamation should be obvious to you. The world, according to biblical scripture, was created by the Word. Words have power. If you don’t believe me, insult a random stranger and notice how they react to it. If they get upset or irritated, that means your words hurt them emotionally. You used the power of words to hurt them.

That’s why it’s important to use your words, and your power, for GOOD. Your word, and your Mind, can bring into existence anything you can conceive. Use them to create the life that you want!

Your Fire

I know that you’re yearning, burning with desire,
I brought my long hose to take care of your fire,
First things first, we need to stop, drop, and roll;
I’ll quench your thirst, let me take control
of your body, hottie, I want it inside thee…
My thermometer, your temperature is rising highly,
The plan is to get your body soaked and wet,
Your flame now extinguished, leave you in a puddle of sweat!

Positive Outlook

Having a positive attitude is one of the hallmarks of being a good role model. People will want to come around us, listen to what we have to say, and follow our examples. Can you think of any good role models that are always in a bad mood? I can’t, but if someone you emulate is always in a bad mood, I would suggest that you look for a new one.

A positive attitude in a way shows people that we care about them. It’s extremely hard to have a positive attitude and hate people. People would not think of us negatively unless we gave them a reason to do so. In that case, if we don’t like being around them, but in turn desire to have a good attitude, then we have to change the way we think about them.

I know one of the things that prevents us from displaying a positive attitude is the mistrust of the people around us. We may have been betrayed by family members or past friends. In effect, that changed our perspective of them. A few bad experiences in a public place may have also created this negative effect. However, if the hallmark of a good role model is a positive attitude, this type of mistrustful thinking has to change. If we want to be treated with respect by the people we interact with, then we have to change our negative attitudes into positive ones.

Checking In

A picture of me taken by me in Ocean City, Maryland

Hello everyone. I haven’t written a blog in awhile because I was busy finishing the first draft of my new book. I plan on selling the book hopefully before the year is over with. While I got the time, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts.

I realize I need to find more time to relax and have fun. I advise everyone that’s reading this to do so as well. A lot of us work almost every day without scheduling ourselves time for leisure. We save and accumulate money without truly enjoying it. When you old, you do not want to only have memories of working for money you barely spend. Like a wise woman once told me, after you die someone else will spend your hard earned money, while you’re rotting away in the grave.

Don’t let that happen to you. While it’s good to save money and to make sure your loved ones are taken care of after you die, you have to remember to enjoy the fruits of your labor. If you desire to buy something you want, like a luxury handbag for example, by all means go ahead and treat yourself. If you’ve always wanted to go to a place like Las Vegas, make plans NOW to make that trip. Even with a pandemic going on, it is still important to go out there and enjoy your life. Just make sure you are being safe and courteous of others if you do so. With that being said, I hope you get to enjoy the rest of the summer. Take care! 🙂

My Motivation (Poem)

Picture from Joshua Ortiz from Pexels

I hope in time I find my motivation

In my mind, all I want is recreation

Frustration about why I lack the energy

And I doubt myself, I need a remedy

I should look to God, the breath that gave me life

I will welcome wide, wise words he would recite

To energize my heart, my soul, and my mind

To do his will, it will be his design.

We Can’t Do It Alone

I believe that one of the worst feelings in the world is to go through something without the love and support of other people. Even people that consider themselves independent and introverted eventually get worn down from being alone. The battles that we face in life becomes difficult for us to deal with without the support and love of other people.

Sometimes, the reason why we lack support is because of how we view the world. We might not ask for support because we don’t trust other. Our attempts to avoid people could possibly rub them the wrong way. As a result, they will likely avoid us because of our unfriendly disposition.

However, no matter how hard we try to avoid people, we are never truly alone and self-sufficient. We have to interact with people whenever we go to a store or when we have to go to a doctor’s appointment. This means that we should try to interact with friends and family. We need to do this not only out of love, but also because we never know when we might need them.

In the Book of Ruth from the Bible, a woman named Naomi lost her husband Elimelech not long after moving to Moab from Bethlehem. Later, her two sons Mahlon and Kilion married Moabite women. Unfortunately, both of Naomi’s sons died ten years later. She ended up being alone as a result.

She was about to go back to her homeland with her two daughters-in-law but decided to tell them to go back to their mothers’ houses.  In her mind, she decided to suffer alone, because she believed that “the Lord himself has raised his fist at [her] (Ruth 1:13).

Oprah told Naomi goodbye and decided to stay in Moab. But Ruth, knowing that her mother-in-law would suffer her tragedy alone, decided to go with Naomi to Bethlehem. I believe it was because Ruth did not want Naomi to suffer alone after she lost her husband and her two sons. When Naomi let Ruth go with her, the Lord blessed her by giving Naomi a “grandson,” someone that would keep her company, but would also carry on her family legacy.  Her grandson, Obed, would eventually have a grandson of his own by the name of David.

The Lord also blessed Ruth by putting her in a position to remarry and to have a child. She eventually married Boaz, a wealthy and influential man in the town of Bethlehem and was a relative of Naomi’s husband. So, the Lord blessed both Naomi and Ruth because they both stayed with and showed support for each other in their time of need. We were not put on this earth to be alone.  God gave Eve to Adam because he knew it was not good for us to be alone. When someone falls, another person should be there to pick them back up. We need to be around other people, especially if we consider ourselves to be good, so that some of our influence can rub off on them.  We are all interconnected — indirectly we are never truly alone.  So, the best way to show that we care is by directly surrounding ourselves with the people that we care about.

The One

Hello everyone. I want to share with you a poem I originally wrote as part of a writing exercise on Twitter. I usually participate in this exercises to test my writing skills, but I couldn’t just let this be shared as a simple tweet. So, here it is — my poem titled “The One.” I hope you like it.

The One

Are we talking about the one called the prodigy son?

That produced the sun and moon, created everything in existence.

The omnipresence, that gave the spirit of life to you and I.

The one, his enclave positioned far beyond the sky.

I fantasize about her beauty

Mesmerized by her poetry

The (more I see a) smile from her

I wonder if she’s feeling me

Wanting to gaze into my eyes

Would she be satisfied

If I licked between her thighs

The feeling will have her hypnotized

I want to vocalize my love for her like the Songs of Solomon

And not replicate the sins of men that offend

Besides, I like cinnamon,

I want it spread out on the sheets

Thinking it would be so sweet

if we ever got to meet.

A Loving Community

Caring for the people in our community is one of the things it mean in the Bible when it says “love your neighbors.” This is also a crucial commandment because this is what makes the world a better place.

In Matthews 22:39, Jesus said that loving “your neighbor as yourself” is equal to what he said was the most important commandment, which is loving “the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”  Jesus knew the significance of loving your neighbor when he equated it to loving the Lord.

However, some people have a hard time loving their fellow man and woman as they would love God because people are naturally flawed.  Half of us have a tendency to judge people negatively — this is why we have a hard time getting along with them. We sometimes do this by either talking behind people’s back, disrespecting them, avoiding them, or even acting out in violence towards them without knowing their true intentions. Before we know it, we will find ourselves caught up in an endless cycle of hate towards each other. Other people get caught up in the negativity around us, which eventually causes a collective consciousness of bad behavior in our society. That is one of the many tactics the devil use to destroy us.

This is why Jesus said “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.  For you will be treated as you treat others.” So, when we talk about someone negatively, best believe someone is slandering us behind our backs as well. When we consistently talk bad about people, they will eventually avoid us because we would be known as the person that always talk bad about other people. When we take advantage of someone like not paying back money we owe to them or stealing from them, we will suffer the consequences by it either ruining our reputation or by someone acting violently toward us.

We are all flawed in some type of way. This is why Jesus said “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?  How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye, when you can’t see past the log in your own eye’” We can’t become better people by talking about what other people are doing wrong without correcting what we are doing wrong. We should work on our flaws to the best of our abilities. We do this by helping people and showing them love and support.

No Competition

It is rare for me to write a blog for two consecutive days, but I had something on my mind, and I would like it to be known. Have you ever felt like someone was spying on you on the internet?

Hear me out — I know that my post will be seen by the public. After all, that is the whole purpose of writing it. What I mean is someone looking at your post for the purpose of using the information on it against you. It could be someone that you know but secretly doesn’t support you. Somebody that doesn’t like you or looks at you like a threat to what they are doing.

You see, sometimes you are in a competition with someone you didn’t know you in one with. It could be a coworker, a so-called friend, even a family member. They will spy on you and lie on you just to get the upper hand on you. You may laugh, but I promise you that you have at least one person like that in your life. It’s just the reality of the world we live in.

So, I write this blog specifically for the ones that are trying to get some type of intelligence on me. I don’t think of you or anyone else as my enemy. I work and do things in order to have a better life for myself and my family. I care for people in general but if you have a problem with me, you should know that I don’t care about YOU. To clarify, I don’t care where you work, what you say, what you do, and why you do it. While YOU are thinking about ways to get the upper hand on me, I’m thinking about how to improve my life. I can’t do that if I’m thinking about other people, so do me a favor and stay out of my business.

If you like reading my blogs, I want to thank you and I hope you continue to support my work. For the ones who look at my blogs just to get some type of ammunition against me, please do yourself a favor and get a life!
