Viva Las Vegas!

I took my vacation in Las Vegas this year, and I absolutely loved it. If you’ve never been here before, I suggest you should definitely visit it at least once in your life. Let me explain why.

Even though they sometimes call Las Vegas ‘Sin City,’ there are quite a few things you can do out here that involve no sinning whatsoever. They have so many nice hotels out there that have everything you need. So, if you don’t want to go out in the hot Nevada heat, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. The hotel I stayed in, New York New York, had a variety of restaurants and stores inside it. They had a theater where they do their live shows. They even had their own rollercoaster!

However, if you do want to leave the comfort of your hotel, they’re plenty you can do outside too. They have multiple shopping centers on the Las Vegas strip. At night, the Bellagio has its own lit-up water fountain display, which occurs every fifteen minutes until midnight I believe. The Mirage has a volcano show near the strip that’s spectacular at night. They were even doing tours to see the Grand Canyon. I missed out on that, but I might see it the next time I’m out there.

And, of course there’s gambling. Don’t worry about looking for a slot machine — they’re everywhere! I saw them as soon as I got off my plane at the airport. I tried my luck at my hotel and lost over a hundred dollars. If you’re going to gamble, do it responsibly. It makes no sense to lose most of your money, and not have enough to pay your bills when you get home.

There were probably some things I missed, but I was more than impressed with my trip to Vegas. I will definitely go back at some point in the future. If you ever thought about going, I hope this blog has helped you in some way. Don’t solely rely on what you see on the news and in movies. If you’re curious about Vegas, go there and check it out yourself. You might be surprised!

  1. I’ve been a few times and do the live shows and site seeing whenever I go. I’m not a gambling person and prefer to eat at the buffets rather than play the slot machines. lol We’re planning our next trip in two years and I’ve even thought about investing in property outside of Vegas for our future retirement. This has been my dream since the first time I visited. Happy to see you are having some fun!
