Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

It’s time for me to get back to the purpose of why I created this blog page.  One of the things I try not to do is to sound like a preacher.  I’ve said in the past that the Bible to me is a spiritual book and I consider myself to be more of an interpreter of the Word of God.  What I mean is that when I write a blog, I do not want to come off like I’m telling you what to do.  All I want to do is give you another way of looking at the Word without distorting what it means.  It’s not easy for me to interpret the word without sounding like a preacher, but I’m going to try my best.

With that being said, let me get into the reason why I’m writing this particular blog.  It’s about having faith in God.  In Hebrews 11:6, it says “but without faith it is impossible to please him…”  That means that if we want things to go right in our life, we have to have faith that he will make it happen.  That applies to finances, sickness, emotional health, and spiritual health.

If you don’t have faith that God will take care of your needs, you’re essentially saying that you do not believe in him.  You’re basically saying that he does not exist.  How can he or why would he take care of our problems if we do not believe in him?  Who will you turn to when you need help in your life?  Our family can only do so much.  Our government can only do so much.  As individuals, we can only do so much.

Concerning the Covid-19 pandemic, washing our hands, wearing a mask, and staying at home can only do so much.  It’s possible that we can still get it even after taking those steps.  The only one that can take care of us in a situation like this is God.  The only thing we have to do during this difficult time is to have faith that he will protect us and take care of our needs.
